While we try to teach our children about life, our children teach us what life is all about.

YoungLives WaFaRa camp...

Towards the end of summer I got to have an experience of a lifetime....
Last year I got involved in Younglives which is a branch off of Younglife that is geared towards teen moms. I feel like God really placed me in this ministry!
I love these girls and I love their babies!
After a half year of "club", we took 3 girls and their babies to a YoungLife camp in Oregon!
It was an amazing experience to say the least.
We got to love on these moms all week, eat with them, share their ups and downs, their struggles and watched them go from too grown up for their age to teen girls again. I watched as God became so big and so real to some of the girls, just thinking of it again gives me goosebumps. I was so blessed to take part in this and I can't wait until July 2011 to do it again!
Here are a few pictures from this amazing camp.........
(photos are in no particular order)

Scarred out of my mind, yet had to act so brave for my girls!
All of these rocks have been put here by someone who has made the decision at this camp to follow Jesus!
Spa day...they pampered these girls (and the leaders)
Pie anyone.....

Western night....filled with a carnival, hoedown, dance party, fireworks and pool party!

Ridgerunners...some of our girls had never drove before!
Just hanging out
Getting ready for the ropes course!
The energizer bunny and myself....I was lucky to keep up with her all week....I am also lucky to know her!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL....

3rd Birthday love letter to Audrey.....

AUDREY GRACE-
Words can't explain the love we have for you!
You are our small firecracker with sometimes a short fuse. You are contrary always wanting what is not offered. You are small, but just don't tell you that or you are in for a ear full! You are bossy, loud, precocious, and all girl yet also a tomboy! You are very loving (especially if you are in trouble), you mother everything even the boys, you are our sweet princess!
You love your pony "chyna", babies, barbies, shoes, clothes, anything princess, tutus, pink and purple! You love shopping, going ANYWHERE, animals, dressing up, reading and singing at the top of your lungs!
Since your appearance 3 years ago, we have been through hospital stays for RSV, seizures and EEG's and through that we have learned so much about relaying on God!
We have fallen more in love with you everyday sweet girl! You constantly make us smile or shake our heads!
Thank you to our Heavenly father for hand making this sweet child and trusting us to raise her for him, lets just hope he grants us grace, patients and wisdom because i have a feeling it is going to be a ride!

love you to the moon and back pumpkin pie!

Have I mentioned that we might have the best small group EVER.....

I feel as though I might be bragging, BUT I am pretty sure we have the best small group ever!
Along with being the most supportive, positive people, they are the most sincere brothers and sisters in Christ, they lift us when we need it and are always there for us when we need them! I feel blessed to be apart of our little small group family! Amongst our Sunday evening Bible study, lots of BBQ's, barn demolitions, ice cream get togethers, turkey fry's, football watching get togethers, we started planning at least one camping trip a year.
We love this trip because we get to hang our with our friends and our kids get to hang out with theirs. Between all the families we have about 16 small kids!
This year one of our trips was to lake Wenatchee/fish lake! the kids and men fished while the ladies rode along or stayed at the camp visiting! Again, how lucky are we!!!

p.s. Jeremy was such a trooper, he was the only adult that would go into the FREEZING water to catch our children....thanks babe!

Cousins come for a visit.....

We were lucky enough to get to have Josie and Jake (Jeremys sisters kids) come and stay at our house for a few days, and to say that we had fun would be an understatement! They had our few days packed to the brim with stuff they wanted to do. Josie being the organized one she is even made us a list so that we were sure not to forget something! We went to the movies, park, walks with their dogs, braided hair, painted fingers, baked cookies, walked through the farmers market, went swimming, ate pizza and a lot of other fun things! Here are a few pictures from those busy couple of days.
