Year 4 Love letter to Trevor.

(Written two days before his 4th Birthday, August 27th)
To our Tricky Trevor,

Words can not express your dad and I’s love for you. We know when God created you as he finished he looked down and said “what family needs a amazing, independent, contrary, focused little boy”, are we glad he chose us. You challenge us on a daily basis, you stand up for yourself and what you believe is right, you don’t let people push you around, you play wonderful by yourself, and you have an amazing imagination. You know how to manipulate your face to try to get whatever you want and your gorgeous big brown eyes are definitely a huge problem. You have a fantastic sense of rhythm and you love music, especially if it has a good beat. You are like you dad in the sense that when you enjoy your music you have to have it as loud as possible in order to get the full effect. You give amazing hugs and it makes my heart sour when you tell us you love us. You have a vary particular idea of what you will and won’t eat (we are hoping this will pass, because as of right now you wont eat or try anything that isn’t on your mental food list). You are a finisher, you do not like leaving things until they or you are done. We love all of these traits and to say that we are blessed to have you as our son is an understatement, we are beyond blessed. We can’t wait to see the boy, teen, young adult and man that you will become. Thank you for being you!!
Love,
Mom and Dad

The Declaration

A few weeks ago in addition to praying over/with the kiddos before bed we have added what is called "The Declaration". Normally I say it and they repeat it, but it is basically what the name says, it is a declaration saying that I am a Child of God and for all evil to "GET OUT OF HERE!!" Braiden had been going through a night fright stage, so this really helps him. All the kids LOVE it and have now started to say it themselves and have me repeat it or they just say it by themselves. What sparked this post was we were in the car a few days ago and Trevor out of nowhere started saying it and just kept repeating it over and over by himself. Well, after that I was determined to get it on tape because it was the most precious thing I had seen, he remembers ever word and gets so into it. BUT, in true Trevor fashion the minute I pulled out the camera he clammed up and wouldn't do it, Audrey on the other hand saw the camera and fed on it. She was so cute saying it, so I had to share. And true to Audrey's nature about half way through you will hear "gotta get that", YES that is indeed part of the Black Eyed Peas song "Boom Boom Boom" (she LOVES that song, she heard it on "So you think you can dance" and requested/screamed that it get played "AGAIN", "AGAIN" and "AGAIN") and YES only Audrey would do that!! Gotta LOVE her! Look for a post later on too, because I WILL get video of Trevor!

(turn the music off at the bottom, it is so cute)
