Thanksgiving

We had a quiet Thanksgiving. Not much to write about and no pictures, I am not sure why I didn't have my camera, but I didn't. We woke up made Breakfast and watched the Macy's parade like we have done for as long as I can remember, then we hung out until dinner. We ate entirely to much but what is Thanksgiving when you don't.

Even though it was quiet we got to spend it with important people and we got to think of others that we didn't see but are so "thankful" for. We love the people that God has put in our lives and we feel blessed on a daily basis for our family. Thank you all that have been/will be apart of the Wolfenbarger family, blood or not, We love you!!!

Braiden was so excited about his dads medal, he had to wear it and then he wanted to take it to sharing at school. Its coolness factor lasted awhile until he got a cool new train sticker.

Jeremy and two other students Chaz and Julie went to a no gi (Jiu Jitsu)tournament in Spokane last weekend. Julie took first and Jeremy took third. They said it was a lot of fun. Jeremy had seven - five minute - matches almost right in a row. There was no points awarded it was all by submission, so in order to advance you had to submit the opponent. It sounded liked the trip there and back was a riot, Jeremy drove Chaz, Julie and the "Brazilians", professor Cristiano, Fabeana, and Mariam, I guess they are pretty entertaining.

We had Hailey Gress take our Family pictures in October, and I have been trying to post them for a few weeks, but things kept coming up (you know - LIFE). I love them she did a fabulous job. She is trying to get her portfolio together, so her prices were VARY reasonable.

Promotions........

Jeremy and Braiden just got "promoted" in Jiu Jitsu. I got pictures of Jeremy getting his strip but I wasn't aware that they were doing promotions for Braiden on the day they did so I missed it. I was so sad but his dad took him that day.

So now Jeremy has 2 strips, he needs 2 more and he will be a blue belt, and Braiden has 1 strip, 3 more strips and he will be a yellow belt.

I thought I would share a few pictures from the last two weeks. The kids and myself all caught the flu/cold so the Wolfenbarger house wasn't vary fun to be at!! Even though the boys weren't to into having their pictures taken because they basically were part of the furniture for a week, you can always count on Audrey to brighten the spirits of everyone. She zones in on anybody with a camera and with her little Jack-o-lantern teeth says "tease", which in Audreynise is Cheese. What a Ham!!! And the picture of Jeremy cracks me up because he says I don't ever post any pictures of him, I don't think this is what he meant though. He has been fighting a case of "Cauliflower ear" from Jiu Jitsu (no worries he now has a set of head gear so this hopefully won't happen again) but we had to drain it and have constant pressure on it to heal. This is him with pressure....Doesn't he look funny?

Revolution 2008

This Saturday we went to Bonney lake for Revolution 2008 a Jiu Jitsu tournament and a visit with Jeremy's sister Tammys family. I was so proud of Jeremy, he in my opinion did great, he won 2 and lost 2. Not to bad for his first competition. The event was poorly ran, they had a lot more competitors than the anticipated, but it was a great atmosphere. I was a little apprehensive of this Jiu Jitsu thing but after Saturday I am sold. I LOVE it, the atmosphere was fabulous, there wasn't crazy screaming parents, but there was a lot of respect for all the competitors. Jeremy would be getting ready for a match and he would have different guys from different schools wishing him luck. I am sure that there are guys that don't like each other, but you hardly if ever saw it. The best was that Jeremy is part of the Gracie Barra School of Yakima/Ellensburg but anybody that goes to a Gracie Barra school around the United States is a member of your team/family. So when you were in a match or watching a match you were cheered by and you cheered all Gracie Barra members. It was so cool!I was a little nervous for Jeremy because in the past he has been a little, shall we say "intense"and I thought that he would't tap and probably black out or worse brake his arm, but this was like a whole different Jeremy. He was still "intense"but he had the best attitude even when he lost.

Super Jump!!

Jeremy's sister Tammy planned a fun evening for us on Saturday. She decided that instead of getting the kids toys for Christmas and Birthdays she would do something fun that they would remember, (we appreciated this, because we get soooo many toys at Christmas and the kids don't appreciate them as much as they should,because they get so many), so she rented Super Jump for them, it was so much fun!!! Even the adults had a blast. I have decided we NEED one in Ellensburg. It was a giant room filled with a giant bounce obstacle coarse, slide, and boxing ring. It was clean and safe for all ages. When we left the kids were exhausted and so sweaty, the boys and Audrey had no fear and went down that slide probably at least 50 times apiece. Then Jeremy and I had a boxing match, which I wish I could say I let him have it but I can't, let me tell you the gloves were heavy!! But again it was SOOO FUN!!!!

Abby tagged me along time ago and I am just now doing it.

In this tag you are supposed to list six random things about yourself, I am not that interesting of a person so it took me awhile to think of things, but here goes:

1) I have a huge love affair with coffee. If I had to choose between a good dinner or a coffee, I would choose the coffee. Jeremy and I had decided awhile ago that we would only buy one coffee a week and the rest of the week we would have drip coffee from our house. I get so excited when I know it is COFFEE DAY!!!

2)I have never nor want to ever own a scale. I base everything by my pants and how they fit. I think that if I owned one I might get consumed by weight. This way if I get asked my weight I can honestly say "I have no clue what I weigh", I like it that way, I guess you can call it denial.

3)I hate feet. They gross me out, it took me along time before I was even okay with baby feet.

4) I love coats. If I could have a closet full of coats I would. I haven't been able to buy hardly any since having kids, I seemed to pick a love for a piece of clothing that is expensive.

5)I could watch the Food Network all day long. When debating on getting rid of the TV, both Jeremy and I were fine with it but we were sad that he would lose Spike TV (truck shows and UFC) and I would lose the Food Network.

6) I love Christmas!! I love everything about it, I wish that we could start gearing up for it in about September, with music and decorations. In fact, I just saw a commercial for something and they were playing Christmas music and I got so excited, ask my husband he just laughed at me.

We had a low key Halloween, Braiden had his school party and then we hit a few businesses down town and some families homes.

We were all shocked that Braiden wanted to be something other than a train conductor, he informed us he would like to be a knight this year. I went to Fred Meyer to see if they had anything, and to my surprise they had a cheap knight outfit in two colors, so I thought I would get one for Braiden and one for Trevor, and then I would just make a costume for Audrey. I was so proud of myself I spent less then $20 on Halloween, but then Jeremy thought that I should have gotten Trevor something else because he probably wouldn't want to be the same a Braiden. I am sure glad that I didn't listen to him because Trevor loved being a knight just like Braiden, in fact I also had a little girl that wanted to wear the knight costume.

Anyways, the kids had fun and ate way to much candy.

Three chips off the old, and older block!!!

You know the saying "you marry someone similar to your father" it rings true in our house. Like my parents house, we keep picking up these stray old vehicles that each have a "purpose" for our family. This is our latest stray, according to the boys it is the "camp dump truck". Every old truck/SVU is a "dump truck", Jeremy's black truck is the original, mainly because that is what we haul the garbage to the dump in, then we have the "work dump truck", Jeremy's blue work truck that someday he might be able to drive, it doesn't have a working motor (another story that again goes with the whole marry your father, it started with taking something off to taking the whole motor out , my dad's saying has always been "sine I am here, I might as well...." it has rubbed off on Jeremy). We have six vehicles and only two people that can drive, I know a little ridiculous, but the whole point of this post was to show how the younger generation is following in the same footsteps. All three kids would have stayed out with Jeremy working on the "camp dump truck" all night if we would have let them. It was very cute.
