Okay funny story, Audrey as you can see is still dressing herself, but what do you think of her newest accessory? She disappeared into the bathroom and when she came back out this is what she was wearing!! Nice right? Don't worry it has never been used, but it cracked us up.

I don't know if you can see it but Trevor is doing now, what Audrey has been doing for a few months, of deciding what to wear. Well at this time he was completely dressed in regular clothes when he decided he wanted to wear pajamas, so he got them out of his drawer and proceeded to put them on. He was quite successful except somehow he managed to use one leg hole as the waist and put his legs through the waist and last leg hole. Jeremy and I almost died laughing.

Braidens Christmas Program

Braiden had his Christmas program at school, we have a little performer. I love these things, all the kids were so cute (at the bottom of the video you can see a few friends that have come to the house to play from time to time, Ben and Koleman you boys are so grown up). Mrs. Macrae once again had a great show, they did crafts and decorated cookies for the first hour and then had their program the last hour. This is Braidens last preschool Christmas program next year we will get to do the "big school" programs. But, not to worry I have at least another 3 preschool Christmas programs to attend.

Crafty......

Braiden wanted, this might be a shocker, TRAINS to take to school for all his "buddies". So mom went and got everything to make them like last year and spent a few hours making them, only to get informed by a then four year old, "MOM, the trains are nice, BUT WHERE ARE THE COAL CARS!"

I told him that this might be a little much for mom and if he would like coal cars we will start working on ideas for them for next year. He didn't Love the idea but it worked.

The cups are a really inexpensive way to thank a teacher, in fact I just might go pick up some for next year now that they are on clearance at all the stores. I just made some hot cocoa and some candies and put them in a pretty bag, and for little extra something I put a coffee card in it, super cute and works on a budget.

This was all Audrey wanted, to wear the oh so beautiful socks!!!

I have had these pictures to post for quite awhile now. A few weeks ago for family night Braiden decided he wanted to make sock puppets. Sounds easy right! It wasn't the greatest thought out plan on my behalf, because it involved a hot glue and small children, bad combo and NONE of the kids took naps that day so they were all ready for bed. We muddled through it, and in the end we had some cute puppets and a fun time, but I think that I will save this craft to do again when the kids are a little bigger. On a side note, I have to share how funny my husband is, well, he REALLY wasn't digging the puppet idea, so he tried every excuse not to do it, but when the kids finally got him sat down to do his he turned into a male Martha Stewart, he was channeling the days when his mom worked for snickerdoodles and the kids would have to help with stuffing, sewing and gluing. So after a few hours of puppet making he made this adorable little elf, it was actually nicer than all of ours. I had to laugh though silly man!!

Audrey Update...

This just in... I just got back from taking Audrey to the Doctor and I officially feel HORRIBLE. Audrey has pneumonia and double ear infections, YIKES! Her lungs don't sound great but surprisingly her oxygen levels are okay, so this is a good thing, but her little heart is beating like crazy. Dr. Larson said her heart is beating like a baby in the womb (which is VERY fast), not like a girl her age. She was put on antibiotics, and he said she should hopefully be feeling better by Saturday, if not, back we go.

Sicky.......

This is what we have seen the last two days.

You know that Audrey doesn't feel well when she doesn't get out of the chair. She is getting all her teeth at once, fabulous, on top of that I am pretty sure that she has a horrible cold. In the past when Audrey hasn't felt well you couldn't tell, when she was in the hospital for 4 days with RSV last year she was so happy through it, so this has really thrown Jeremy and I. Yesterday I rocked her for hours and she would fade in and out of sleep, then at 11 she went down for a 4 1/2 hour nap, then went to bed at 9 p.m. Today she woke up, put herself back to bed at 9 a.m. and then went back for a nap and noon, and again at 7 p.m. This is SO strange for the little girl who normally thinks she has "outgrown" naps and doesn't go to bed until late. I did call the Doctor and she will be seen tomorrow. But until then hopefully we can handle the fevers, coughing until vomiting, crying, only wanting mama, beautiful sad little girl.

Party Animals........

We have officially started birthday season!! My sisters and I all have Birthdays in Dec. or Jan. and our first born boys are the same. So this time of year we are in full celebration mode. To help the kids remember the order of "parties" we tell him -

I am posting this for Brilee, but mostly for my dad because he wasn't able to make it. Kyle (my nephew) had his first School Christmas program last week, talk about cute! He didn't want to sing the songs because I think he is just "too cool", but the song he did sing he totally hammed it up. We were all laughing so hard, so you will have to excuse the shaking because a.) I was laughing, b.) I had a little one kicking my arm and c.) my arm was getting tired. How fun, I can't wait until Braiden's Kindergarten Program.

This last Sunday my side of the family went to get Christmas trees. We had the Hecklys, Bernals and Tutors and all the chaos that comes with 7 young children getting together. Talk about cherished memories!
We drove up to Lions rock to take a family picture for my parents Christmas card (so I am sorry i can't post it, but I can say it was so cute and it captured our family). The drive up was fun, there was a few crazies on the road, and a little mud ( I don't think Brilee was quite prepared for the drive, her eyes were a little large a she got out of the truck), but all in all a good drive. As soon as we got up to the top, which by the way if you have never been to lions rock it is magnificent. We haven't been up there in a while because it is paved most of the way up so there is always more traffic than we like, but I forgot just how amazing it was. I got reminded of the song " I Saw God Today", because all you could do is sit and be amazed of his creation. Anyways, enough on that, after the drive we took family pics before the kids got too dirty from the mud. Then Papaw who brought up a small fire pit, made a fire and we roasted Marshmallows and had Hot Cocoa. There was just enough snow up there that the kids got to have a snowball fight, were from the sounds of it the whole goal of the fight was for the kids to get Uncle Scott. After the eating pure sugar festivities came to an end we were off to find the perfect Christmas Tree. During the search the ramifications of no nap and lots of sugar were starting to take place, but all in all the kids did really well. Everyone found their "perfect tree".
After a day like this, all I could do is feel so Blessed. What a AWESOME day, with lots of wonderful memories.
