Christmas Tree Hunting X 2...........

This year we went to get our Christmas Trees twice!

The first time was with my family, where to make a long story extremely short, we didn't get to partake. Due to the fact that my husband loves to 4x4 and that there were inexperienced to say the least drivers up in the hills, we never made it to join the festivities with the family. We ended up stuck and then pulling out people for a few hours. It was kind of sad that we didn't get to part take in the "singing of the tree's" with my family but we knew that we were there to help the people we were pulling out. My dad ended up finding us a REALLY beautiful tree, I don't think I could of picked better!

The second time we went was with our small group, we had 11 adults and and 15 kiddos! It was cold but a ton of fun. We sledded, roasted hot dogs and marshmallows, helped people search for their perfect tree, ate, ate some more (I am starting to notice a theme with our group of always eating), pulled kids out of mud and snow, and just enjoyed every ones company.

Papaw is the GREATEST!!!

(So is Ama, we are so blessed to have the family we do!)

Audrey and "BJ".........

Audrey LOVES animals, we have jokingly called her Elmira for a long time ("I will hug him, and squeeze him, and name him George"). Normally the animals don't want to stick around for too long because they know that they are going to get mauled by the little girl, but my parents have THE BEST cat ever. His name is DJ and he loves kids or at least lovingly tolerates them, he has never scratched them even though he should have, if I could guarantee a cat like him, we would probably have one.
Audrey, for a lack of better words, LOVES him, and for some reason renamed him "BJ".

WARNING!!! DO NOT GO INTO THE GARAGE!

Do you remember the post were my 5 year old was using a chainsaw?
Well, I do believe my husband is trying to give me a heart attack, as this is his latest idea of a "bonding experience". Braiden asked to go "work" out in the garage with his dad while he was waiting for dinner, when I walked out to tell them both to come in and eat, this is what I saw.
What ever happened to building a bird house with a hammer?
"Why hammer when you can have a use a Nail gun", to which he will reply!

Leaves....

Growing up, one of my least favorite things to do, was rake leaves (could it be because my parents house has A TON of trees which equals A TON of leaves. Maybe this is why I still don't have any trees or grass at my house, I have a severe aversion to yard work:).
The kids were at Ama's and Papaw's a few weeks ago and they got to be Ama's helpers. They were not like me, YET, they LOVED raking leaves, but, it could have been because Ama let the kids "rake" them all up and jump in the pile and then have a leaf fight with her.
Here are a few pictures of them "raking" leaves and making memories!

Relaxing.............

Trevor and Audrey Chillaxin in sleeping bags watching what else, but Audrey's FAVORITE "Cinderellee"
