If you like to talk to tomatoes, if a squash can make you smile......

Braiden has been going to Kids club on Thursday nights at the C&MA church and last week they had "Veggie Derby". This is when the kids make cars out of vegetables. Braiden and his dad put in a lot of time, thought, and ingenuity in to his car (I had to keep reminding Jeremy that this was a preschoolers car so he needed to keep it simple). They had a lot of fun making it, and it was so fun to watch their little wheels turn in their heads (Jeremy & Braiden). After they finished the car (pictured above), Jeremy got what sounded like a brilliant idea at the time to put the car into the freezer so that it would be hard at the derby. Like I said, that was a great idea in theory but one thing that we didn't anticipate was that the car would have to sit out for about an hour until it was Braiden's turn to roll it down the ramp. By the time Braiden's car got to go, it was leaking a lot of transmission fluid (a.k.a it was defrosting). It made it about a foot off the ramp before it disassembled itself. Braiden was so cute, he loved the part when the car came apart and he jumped up and down in excitement. It was pure joy for him (don't you wish that something like that could make YOU experience that same kind of joy. Oh, to be a innocent child!).

Braiden made it to the finals, so needles to say we had to put the car back together a few times, he ended up getting third in his age group. When the derby was all over I asked Braiden if we could throw his car away (before you think what an mean mom, making him throw it away, it was very mushy and yukky from going down the ramp and defrosting), at first he said "no, he might miss it" and then after a little persuasion he said it was o.k. but we need to build another one soon.

Jeremy and Braiden are already planning how they are going to make next years car.

It was an evening of messy faces, I guess that means they love the food.

Mama's don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys..

The boy's have got the horse bug heavy right now. I have to laugh at these pictures, because Jeremy was operating the camera. The picture that Slider (the horse) and Trevor look great I look like I am mad, which I was far from. And the picture that would have been really good has got Sliders head cut off, oh well what are you going to do. I can't be to picky, at least we are starting to get pictures of me and the kids.

Any who, the boys have been wanting to ride non-stop, and as you can tell they aren't afraid of the big horse.

We went for a walk on Sunday. When I say we walked I mean me, Jeremy was working, and I was the one with a child strapped to my back and pushing two in the stroller. At those moments I would like to have something that says "YES, They are all mine". You would be surprised at all the looks you get. Well, we walked to the top of Craig's Hill (which by the way I almost died) so we could watch the High School Rodeo. While watching, Braiden informed me that he needs a cowboy hat and boots, which I agree, and he needs to get a bigger horse because Cheyenne is good for right now but he says soon she will be to small and he dose not want to share Slider with mom he wants his own big horse.

The financial hemorrhage is starting. YIKES!!!

Classic Braiden...

This picture is classic Braiden, he loves the girls. He thinks that he is so cool with a coffee in one hand and a girl in the back (the girl is Ella, one of my daycare kids). Makes his dad so proud!

Audrey is still vertically challenged, so this is the first time she ate in her highchair. She still wobbles in it because it is so big for her, but we wanted to try the big girl chair. We normally put her in the Bumbo (which is a little chair) with a high chair tray and that works for her.

NO, IT'S MY TURN!!!!

The boys finally got their wish. It was nice enough for a little while to saddle the pony (I know some of you are thinking "fair weather rider", but hey we are all just getting over bad colds).

I kind of thought in the back of my head that the pony ride was going to be a fast, one trip around the property and we would be done, but to my pleasant surprise both of the boys think they are going to be cowboys, (don't go buy them a belt buckle yet, it has only been once so far this year). Hopefully they will stay with it because I sure miss that part of our life.

Jeremy would rather drive something than get on the back of a horse, so the kids are my only hope. They both had so much fun, but if I have to hear "no, it's my turn" one more time the Wolfenbager's might be looking for another pony (again, this is only the first time this year, so we will see how ride 2 and 3 treat us).

These pictures were all taken the same day. The weather has been Crazy. One minute you think it is spring then the next it is back to acting like it is January.

We have had quite an eventful weekend. For all that don't know Braiden, he is a tad like his dad in the sense that if he wants or is excited about something he turns into a broken record and that is all he can think or talk about (o.k. he probably gets a little from me as well). But, we told him that we were finally moving Slider and Cheyenne to our house (our horse, and the pony my mom got for all the grandkids), and all weekend until they actually set foot on Wolfenbarger soil that was all he could/would talk about. He worked so hard with his dad and papaw to get the fences up, and to make sure they had food and water. There was a few frustrating moments because he was being a little too helpful, if you know what I mean. All in all the weekend was great, even though there was snow on the ground, I think in total the boys maybe spent a few hours inside. I love weekends like that!

Family Reunions

Smile, it's your Birthday!

Jake, had his birthday party at Grants. It was fun, the boys convinced anybody they could to let them set on their laps so they would be big enough to play the video games. At one time I walked into the room and Braiden was sitting on some middle school boys lap playing a game (don't worry Jeremy was in the same room the whole time).

Jamie was right, this picture is going to be on the blog. It is so cute. I met for the first time Jeremy's half sister from Montana, Missy. Jeremy's Grandma Lela passed away and the funeral was on Thursday in Olympia, so she was going to that and she and her four boys stayed a few nights in Ellensburg on their way. We all went to the funeral, and as weird as it may sound I actually had fun. I found out so much about Jeremy's other side of the family, and we had a lot of fun with Jeremy's sisters.
